AVP, Commercial Escrow Settlement Officer

My goal is to assist as much as I possibly can to ensure all transactions successfully close. It is my honest opinion that if we can all work together to make the process go smoothly, we can accomplish great things.

ABOUT MISSY

Missy serves as Assistant Vice President and Commercial Escrow Settlement Officer for Commonwealth Land Title's Boston National Commercial Services (NCS) operation. An industry veteran, she is responsible for handling real estate transactions by managing funds, and processing and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. Missy acts as a neutral liaison between file parties.

Missy handles all aspects of real estate escrow transactions from the moment a new order is received until the final disbursement is made. She reviews numerous transaction documents and communicates with all parties involved to ensure that all instructions are complied with, and all requirements are met. While some of her responsibilities include drafting settlement statements and making disbursements at closing, her past as a title officer gives Missy a unique, holistic view of her transactions that allows her to be a true resource for her customers as they work to close their deals.

Missy has been a member of the Massachusetts Paralegal Association for many years, having served as its Events Director Pro Bono Section Chair. She enjoyed her time spent on the board and as a section chair. During her tenure, Missy planned many successful events, including organization of the association’s annual meeting and holiday gatherings, the latter involving donation drives for the Women’s Lunch Place in Boston and Toys for Tots. While serving on the board, she also organized an evening held yearly, called, “Heat Up Your Career” to assist fellow members with networking opportunities and provide expert tips for successful job searching. Time permitting, Missy still supports the association by attending its meetings and events. In addition to her professional contributions, she has donated countless hours in serving her community of faith and its school.

Missy is a life-long South Shore girl and currently resides in Holbrook with her husband, Don and youngest son, Ryan. She has two older sons, Kevin and Matt, and has been blessed with three wonderful grandchildren. In her spare time, Missy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, in addition to volunteering at events at her son’s school and other community events. She enjoys working with the youth group at her church, assisting with planning of events for the youth. Missy also enjoys finding new ways to help others, whether it be through her church or community.
